TAV Valve

Finally it arrive our warehouse. This is the Nederman TAV Valve, able to operate either by pneumatic or current, and it is part of Hi-Vac solution, to control the airflow, simple but very useful and powerful tools.

Just a simple accessories, but this piece of plastic had stressed me up for 6 months! I'd followed the project since last Christmas, after lots of meeting, never ending funky and technical question, finally I'd closed the deal, by last month. In fact, I don't really closed it, because I'd lost almost 90% of the total project, only manage to closed a small portion of the whole project.

During the time I followed this project, I'd involved a lot a lot of people in it, because it is a damn big project, had involve few contractors from Singapore and Malaysia, my GM, boss, principal, some powerful people, son of the Tan Sri in Malaysia, someone special and etc... they are all very supportive, and I appreciate what they did.

During the first 5 months, there's a very supportive people, she sms me every time before my meeting with the maincon, she told me she is worried every time I have an important meeting, she always get the hottest and updated news after my meeting, she is with me whenever I feel stress (too bad I can't do that to her), she prayed for me, too bad she is gone, and I couldn't keep my word on what I'll do after I closed the deal...

I'll deliver this to the customer by next week, get my rewards of the hard work on the last 6 months, and will buy myself a good dinner, alone.

*listening to 3 doors down - here without you

Paintball

Had attend a paintball games last Sunday, the paintball park is located behind SJMC, and it claimed as the largest paint ball park in Malaysia. It is organized by Hainanese association, together with Xiamen association, so, it is a war, between Hainanese and Xiamenese, hehehe.

There is almost 40 peoples participate in this game, and separate into 4 group, each group will play for 3 rds, and 30 bullets for each round. The rules is strict inside the arena, you can't even take off your mask, even though if you're 'death', and if you take it off, whole team lose. This is to prevent the bullet hit direct to your face, especially the fragile eyeball, although the ball is made from soft rubber with some organic paint inside it, but it is damn painful if get hitted, due to the extremely fast speed that shoot out from the CO2 marker (~300 kmph).

It is a fun game, and, it is very costly, thanks god we get sponsored for the games, lol.

Busy, is that a good excuse?

When we feel like tired, when we feel lazy to go out, the best excuse, and the common one - lazy, especially single bachelor like me (with couple can make use their gf/bf as excuse, lol), but I seldom use that as excuse, maybe I'm not busy enough?

This 2 months is a very very pack month, I have to do the ground work for Nederman, to lobby Petronas in East Malaysia, to entertain those oil and gas contractor, to reply never ending e-mail, to learn, to play, to eat, to sleep, to blogging, to............... lots of excuse that I can make use to show that I'm really busy, but, I still don't think I'm busy.

If working >15hours a day is busy, then why don't I feel busy? if the character of my room and hotel's room exchange is busy, then why don't I feel busy?

Human nature, especially Asian, we always use this excuse, to make others realize that we are doing something for the world, we are not wasting our 24hrs, but most of the time, maybe we are not a good time planner, we do everything by last minute, and we spend most of our time to think a perfect excuse that will lead others that we are busy, same goes to me, and maybe you, your neighbor, your boss, etc.

Lets divide what I do in 24 hours,

12 hours working
2 hours meal
1 hour watching newspaper
6 hours sleep
2 hours browsing internet
= 23 hours

Where is another hour gone?

See, if we divide our task, list it, we will found that we have A LOT of spare time, so where this spare time goes?

Hmm, maybe to thinking for excuse that show that we are busy.

Sunset

After a short stay in Kuching, and meeting with Alan in airport, I'd take my flight to Miri. The flight is by 7pm.

I'm not a sentimental and romantic person, more to rational. When I seen my first sunset, at 33,000ft above sea level, while cruising at 800 kmph, at the moment, I wish I can share this with the one I love, sunset is soooooo beautiful, I feel like I'm a sentimental, at least in this moment.

Trip to East Malaysia

Had made my trip to east Malaysia last Monday, it was a 4-days trip, and the place that I gone is Kuching, Miri and Labuan, although it is only within 2 state, but it takes day to travel among the city, by car, but of cos I'm traveling by flight, time is $$$

After a short meeting with Alan in Kuching's airport, we depart direct to Miri, the oil town, and we had spend 2 days in this town, majority of the resident here dealt with oil and gas, or timber industry, just like Kertih, this place is HOT, theres LOTS of hardware shop that supplying stuff for the oil company, and you can see a lot of worker wearing coverall with their company logo walking on the street, inside the shopping mall, on the kopitiam, inside the hotel, airport, just anywhere (1 of the thing we supplied, lol). We'd spend 1 whole day to visit the dealer, and Petronas. After dinner, it's pub hopping time, and the next morning, we depart to Labuan.

It is only 25minutes flight from Miri to Labuan, and Labuan is a heaven, although it is HOT too. We stayed in the Grand Dorsett, and the view (as in photo above) is superb, it is an oil platform, and the food, I would said it is the best hotel's food I'd ever eat (normally hotel's chef sucks!). Too bad the hotel room doesn't have wifi, and I have to check my mail in the lobby (online for 2 hrs only charge me RM60, @!#$#@!$%@$%$), waste my time to enjoy the room's superb environment!!!

Half day in Miri, we only manage to find a customer, Petronas, and after our discussion, it's 5pm, normally they work until 4.30pm only (sooooo envy!!!). After meeting, we gone for the duty-free shopping, liquor here, incredibly cheap, 1L Chivas only RM65 (I bought RM100+ in airport duty-free shop T_T), 1L Bacardi only RM25, and I bought 1L JW Black Label, 1L Absolut Vodka, cost me RM90+ only.......... too bad me with Ernest 2 people can bring 2 bottle only, or else I will buy all kind of liquor in the shop!

Labuan is an island, surrounded by sea, so, there's LOTS of fresh seafood here, this is the reason I love sea, because they provide very nice seafoood, the size of the seafood here is double to those in peninsular, and the price is twice of peninsular too, twice more cheaper than peninsular!

Reach KL in the next day (today 1pm), and just finish my work, after replying the never ending e-mail, some small meeting in office, back home, online-meeting, replying e-mail till 10pm..................... huh

p/s taxi charge in east Malaysia, VERY EXPENSIVE!!!

Go Kart-ing

Had went for Go Kart session, that held by Hainanese Association (yay, I'm Hainanese) last Sunday. The track is in bt. tiga, Shah Alam.

The car that I ride is a 850cc, kart, and seems like it's bit too small for a 6ft. + 90kg guy, I'm envy those that are small and short at the moment I was in the kart and on track (90kg is bit too heavy for the 850cc kart).

The top-speed of the kart is around 50 - 60kmph, but because of it's size, and there's nothing cover beside me, you'll feel like you're speeding on 200kmph on the highway! what's best on go kart is you can drift on the track, lol, I don't own a FR car, and I never do any power-slide, so my drift-virginity had gave to this kart no. 11.

Price, RM35/ 10 minutes, it worth it!!!

Penang

Had gone to Penang few times, been traveled there via train, car, flight, ferry (from Butterworth), and this time is by... lorry.

Had planned to go Penang to visit a client + solve some problem since last 2 months, but bit busy + lazy for a trip that will waste 10 hours traveling time. Last 2 days, Toon and Donny from welding department is going to Penang to install a welding machine for his customer in Bayan Lepas, and my customer is in Bayan Lepas too, so I'd followed him to Penang, but they're going with a 3-tonne lorry.............

It's damn suffering for the 300+km trip inside the lorry, the space is small (6ft. x 2 inside a small cabin), slow (max 100kmph, normal cruising on 80-90kmph), extremely-noisy (>90dB I think), hot (w/o tinted), and lack of shock absorbing... yeah I know I complaint alot, had spoiled by my ride...

It's a very short trip, and the first day we reached hotel by 11pm+ after seafood + buying durian in Balik Pulau, and the next morning we gone to Lumut, only makan simple Penang breakfast, and nothing special compared to KL. Met welding dept. people in Lumut, and tumpang Hafiz's estima back office, at last I can sleep well in this trip.

Mercedes Benz Malaysia

Last 2 months, Mr. Low from Mercedes Benz training center in Malaysia had give me a ring, the fan of their Nederman's exhaust extraction system got problem, the fan become noisy and need to do the maintenance.

Their system include 4 Nederman's exhaust-reel, supported by a big fan.

After some inspection, we'd come out some solution, and had received the PO this afternoon, installation job will be starting after 2 months (we have no stock for the accessories, sigh).

p/s The laksa nearby the training center(Glenmarie) is very nice, the best I'd ever eat.
